On Deck?
Our dearest ODD-fan Satori has been tugging at our petticoats the past week or more. Seems ol’ Sat has a couple nominees for the ODD On Deck circle.
Satori’s first suggestion is Jerry Lewis and who are we to disagree? Perhaps we could set the tag team of Jerry Lewis as interviewed by Larry King. The second nomination Satori launched is the New Jersey government. Loveable and timely that Satori.
Considering the competition we found ourselves hard pressed (or slow boiled perhaps) to get our chin up here. Sadly we discovered today that we were a bit tardy as regards placing the the CIA Bin Laden unit On Deck. George pulled the rug on us (and the rest of the country) there.
We did get an ODD-alert that Rudy Ray Moore, aka Dolemite, aka Petey Wheatstraw, the Devil’s Son-in Law, has been hospitalized in Inglewood, Calif.
And that leaves us as the loser in this round of ODD-tag. Satori captures the coveted ODD-thong Grand Prize with a 2 to 1 victory. Congratulations!
Sherman, set the Way-Back machine for yesterday. Remember Enron? And Kenneth Lay’s reported death? We discovered at SFGate.com an interesting discussion that includes this piece:
“The document that convicts you of a crime is signed by a judge after a sentencing hearing. We never got to that stage,” says Kirby Behre, a partner with the law firm Paul Hastings. “The bottom line — the judge never entered an order establishing the conviction or the sentence. That’s going to be the basis for a strong argument that he (Ken Lay) was never really — quote — convicted on this matter.”
And many just-plain-folks are saying “Show Me The DNA!”
